Weight Loss & Diet Pills And Supplements – Gimmicks Or otherwise?
“Take the blue pill…take the white pill…?”… recall the line?
“Take the blue pill…take the white pill…?”… recall the series?
These are the original words uttered… the film series is taken from The Matrix (1999). The context of the statement is the fact that “Neo” (Keanu Reeves) is residing in a planet of controlled perception. Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), the captain of the “movement” in the film, is guiding younger Neo via a wild ride of “reality” vs. perception. Like the film it is the work of mine, as a personal trainer, to steer individuals with a journey in perception.
Even during “real-life” it seems that we, as depicted in this film, only think that taking a pill can provide us all of the solutions to the needs of ours. My question to help you is…”Do you believe all the issues of yours could be remedied by snapping a pill?” Do you truly believe that information are available from pills or even do you feel that answers originate from individual responsibility? I guess the actual concern is…”Do you have confidence in prevention or “cure”?
In addition to the quirky movie comparison… What is your perspective as related to health and fitness, body, and better living? Does better living come from much better pharmacology? Sure…I estimate large numbers of lives are saved from disease, hereditary failures, along with illness. Do we accept responsibility for our conduct which contributes directly to health which is poor and fitness? Are most risk factors for illness lifestyle induced? Even if the newest weight reduction pill did work – Is it going to work life-long? What are the risks associated with a lot of the newest weightloss pills? Almost any pill we take has a “exipure side effects (https://www.pentictonwesternnews.com/)-effect” attached to its use in individuals that are many. It seems folks are ready to pay essentially anything to get their hands on the hottest diet pill, or maybe weight loss gimmick in existence. Worse – prescription medications are passed out such as candy to a huge selection of a huge number of obese folks. As we all know several of these medications have confirmed to be pretty risky, even deadly.
I guess most of the questions as well as frustrations I get from folks relevant to preventative activity, exercise, or fitness, can be traced back to one really important as well as essential question: Are we a solution driven culture or a prevention driven society? Does it make sense that the most up carbo-blocker, fat burner or losing weight pill will reverse years of very poor living? Do you really believe that your special responsibility is often absolved by a pill?
Lets’ take the general style of “dieting” for example: one program works this way, you’re taking several pills in the morning – get a health shake in the evening, chug down another couple of pills by late afternoon, and consume a boxed, pre-portioned, specialized dinner at bedtime. OK. – What goes on when you decide to go off this weight loss program? I speculate all of the stunning results just vanish entirely! Of course, they show you to take this particular item, then that product…then hold the breath of yours for ten seconds while moving up and down…ok…ok, I am getting taken away – I am aware. The point is; if you have to fill the specific pills and perform the specific diet you simply won’t undertake it for long – that’s why it’s called a weight loss program. The name itself assures the individual that it is something which you commence and stop! No, friends – better living isn’t something you begin & stop, it’s a thing you benefit from when you accept responsibility for the proper care of your body and well being.
So what’s the answer? Effectively, my answer is to ask yourself some really important questions.
One; Will you think that personal responsibility supersedes a cure-all (diet pill)?
