She was always on the cusp of issues. She was tuned in to her readers’ requirements and sensitivities. Exactly how I wish I might be a male Ann Landers! The columns of her were always in response. She opened the doors to her followers to march in with their comments and concerns as well as agonies. She never set anybody down.

She knew that all of us have warts and vulnerabilities and aches and hurts and needs. And, she recognized that each of us needs someone who’ll listen. Erma Bombeck was like that. She was able to address with humor, but in addition with amazing wisdom. We want an Ann or even an Erma today. We want someone who sees through all of the folly of our times. We want a person that doesn’t go on tv to market us anything or even present an invitation to send them money so we could be healed or promised unconventional success from our investment in a postage stamp. We need authentic, caring, enormously sensitive human beings who have walked the highway, stumbled through the stones, and also survived. I think there are people like that out there. I assume they are persons who do not look for large audiences or rely on Nielsen ratings. I think they’re the senior citizen supermen as well as wonder girls of our times that understand how to lift us up and out.click here to learn more In my opinion they are not affected by their advertisers or perhaps the public relations staff of theirs. They are deeply, truly concerned about the thing it takes to make it from daily. Find your somebody who’ll listen. Then offer to someone else your own ear and heart!
