If we look back far enough in time at what our early ancestors had as an everyday diet, we will see two completely different menus indeed! Not as long ago as the cave dwellers maybe but to anywhere they were cultivating their own crops and had a great variety of foods that promote digestive health.
Meanwhile, fast forward to now when lots of ingredients are prepared for convenience sake but include all sorts of ingredients and chemical substances. Add to that the stripping away of valuable bran as well as germ from grain flour. Now we have added toxic substances to our diet and taken away a lot of the needed nutrition that can cure disease and hold a properly running digestive system. Way too many of the foods we eat don’t promote digestive health.
It’s simple – return to some basics
