We’ve all read of it, but usually just in relation to it going completely wrong – and the humiliation of working with your doctor stick his finger’ up yer bum’ to find out it. So just what will be the prostate? What does it do and how do you keep yours in good shape? Before we get started, you’ll find two small points that need clarifying:
1 There is only one’ R’ in prostate. (Prostrate is while you lie face down with your arms and legs spread!).

About the measurements of conker (chestnut), the prostate lifestyles kind of wrapped around the urethra, just below the exit of the bladder, face the internal wall of the rectum. Picture a drinking straw with a balloon on the end. Now picture threading a small cupcake onto the straw and pushing it up as far as the balloon. The balloon is definitely the bladder, the straw is the urethra and the small cupcake may be the prostate gland!
Despite its proximity to and associations with the bladder, it’s nothing to do with urine creation and is, in fact, responsible for producing something called prostatic substance that improves the sperms’ capacity to’ swim’. Making sure that explains why women don’t have one and then!
