2018 BC Health Care Awards Recipients Revealed
VANCOUVER – Recipients of the 12th annual BC Health Care Awards have been announced today in a gala luncheon in Vancouver. 12 Gold Apple and 6 Award of Merit recipients were honoured.
Provided by the health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC), the awards recognize British Columbians who are delivering outstanding care and support. Awards are presented in 11 categories to plans improving delivery through collaborative and innovative approaches and also to people making a beneficial effect and motivating those around them.
“BC’s medical professionals – including support personnel – truly care about delivering quality care to British Columbians,” said Michael McMillan, HEABC’s President and Ceo. “The BCHC Awards are a chance to understand as well as celebrate the individual and team contributions made by these individuals.”
New this year – Dianna Mah Jones Award of Excellence in Person Centred Care
Named in honour of Dianna Mah Jones, this award is designed for a group or task which makes use of top methods to enhance proper care for patients, customers or residents by concentrating on the requirements of the individual instead of the needs of the system or service. Our hope is which this ward is going to help to keep the memory of her and legacy living by recognizing others that attempt to deliver care that’s respectful of the needs, preferences and values of people.
