Storyline:

Strange Angel is a drama series based on the book by George Pendle under the same title. It is based on the life of Jack Parsons, mysterious and brilliant rocket engineer, living in Los Angeles 40 years of the twentieth century. He worked for the US government to help in the missile program, which he saw as the starting point for future space exploration. In 1938 Parsons, curious by nature, meets and quickly befriends his new next door neighbor Ernest Donovan, a supporter of the infamous English occultist Aleister Crowley. He will believe him in his way of thinking as well as other principles and practices and his religious movement Thelema, which include secret orgies which produce sexual magic and occult rituals aimed at establishing contact with the other side. When Parsons is slowly becoming a part of this strange, secretive world, his newfound beliefs and lifestyles threaten both his marriage and work.
