The Penn State Clothes Transit is a neighborhood effort started in partnership with the scholar group third Approach Collective, the LGBTQA Pupil Useful resource Center, and Lutheran Campus Ministry. A transgender faculty freshman in the Appalachian town of Huntington, West Virginia, rummaged by an array of clothing racks on a recent Friday inside a small office space on his campus. Donated items that cannot be used in the Clothing Closet (together with household furnishings or extra clothing in certain sizes) are resold at Stuff Etc., with funds benefiting Households Serving to Households. The CenterCross Clothes Closet is open every weekday that the Union School District is in session, for the hours 9 a.m.-eleven a.m. Volunteers, please present up no later than eight:30 a.m. and plan to finish up by noon.
